Mostly detached houses — about 700 of them, roughly three homes in four — and nine in ten went up before the 1980s. There are no apartment buildings, so the Calgary Real Estate Board publishes no condo figures for Collingwood.
My take on the market
October 2026
Three detached homes sold in Collingwood in September, up from two in August. The typical detached home rose to about $826,700, from $811,300 the month before, and it is about 1.2% above September last year. Calgary-wide, a typical detached home was worth about $739,400 in September, a little under a year earlier (Calgary Real Estate Board figures). Collingwood’s typical home sits close to $90,000 above that, and it gained a little over the year while the city’s eased.
The three that sold took 48 days on average — with three sales, one slow one moves that a long way. Collingwood is small, and some months here see no sales at all, so no single month carries much weight. What it means for your own home comes down to your street, your price range and when you want to move.
The benchmark detached home in Collingwood was built in 1959, 1,331 square feet above ground on a 5,996 square foot lot, with three bedrooms up, another in the basement, two full bathrooms and a finished basement. Source: Calgary Real Estate Board.
Collingwood is small — 1.6 square kilometres, a little over two thousand people — and it has a park on two of its four sides. Nose Hill Park is north across John Laurie Boulevard. Confederation Park runs along the south, 162 hectares of it, cut through the middle by a stream, with tobogganing hills, tennis courts, ball diamonds and groomed cross-country trails through the winter. The city’s nine-hole golf course and its double-decker driving range are part of it, and the course address is 3204 Collingwood Drive. Every December the Lions Festival of Lights runs through the park until midnight, and from most of Collingwood you can walk to it.
Three schools sit inside the community — Collingwood School on Collingwood Drive, St. Margaret School on Carol Drive, and St. Francis High School on Northmount Drive. The Triwood Community Association hall, arena and outdoor rinks are a few minutes north, on Chicoutimi Drive in Charleswood.
Nine homes in ten here predate the eighties: 45% built before 1961 and another 46% between 1961 and 1980. 76% are detached, around 700 of them, and three-quarters of households own where they live. There is no apartment stock, which is why the Calgary Real Estate Board publishes no condominium figures for Collingwood at all.
91% of residents were at the same address a year ago, and that is the number that shapes this market more than any price does. Three detached homes sold in Collingwood in September 2026. When a community is this small and this settled, a handful of sales is the entire month — so a typical price is worth more than an average here, because a single unusual sale moves an average and leaves the typical one alone. If you want a house in Collingwood, waiting is most of the work, and it helps to have someone watching for the one that fits rather than checking a website on a Sunday night.

Foothills Estates is the northeast corner of Collingwood, and its lots are typically larger than in the rest of the community.
Yes. The City’s nine-hole course in Confederation Park is at 3204 Collingwood Drive, with a two-level driving range, a putting green and a chipping area. In winter, a groomed cross-country ski trail runs across it when there’s enough snow.
Three. Collingwood School on Collingwood Drive is one of the Calgary Board of Education’s Spanish bilingual schools. St. Margaret School on Carol Drive and St. Francis High School on Northmount Drive are both Calgary Catholic School District schools, St. Francis for grades 10 to 12. Which school your address is designated to can change, so check your own street with the school board before you count on it.
